I really wonder how much money these "inventors" make for the stupid As Seen On TV products.

The newest one? A GoGo Pillow. You can attach your Ipad/Kindle/tablet into a pillow because it is so frustrating for your arms to hold them on their own.

The WaxVac. A vacuum for your freaking ears.

On the commercial, it shows a guy cleaning his ears with a cotton swab and yelling "OOOUCH!" This vacuum is supposed to solve that problem of jamming objects too far into your own ear.

My uncle bought my grandmother one of these for Christmas! She was quite offended and yelled at him to take it back.

I love how any infomercial makes everyday tasks seem impossible. Like the shaving one where the lady can't seem to sit on the side of tub without falling in.

The pillow one might be handy with kids in the car.

DH and I had a laugh the other day as I struggled to remove a computer mouse from my laptop bag that was hopelessly tangled in the unravelled power cord. I saw this thing on a show about how hard it is to boil water so they came out with water in a bag, all you have to do is put it in a pot of water and boil.

OK, not even kidding, it is a dream of mine to be in an infomercial someday. I desperately want to be one of the people who CAN'T WALK OUT OF A STANDING SHOWER, OMG or CAN'T FLIP A PANCAKE, or NEED TO DETOX MY FEET LIKE A REVERSE TREE!

I love infomercials. It's like...beautiful, pure comedy. I love them.

The original Magic Bullet commercial is my favorite, hands down. The one where all the house guests are sitting around the kitchen the morning after a soiree, and the hosts are making them a variety of breakfast foods.

The guests are all, "Pancake batter AND muffin batter in five seconds or less? No way!"

One of my favorite memories from college is being piled on a sofa and sofa bed with like 20 of my friends, all hungover like the people in the infomercial, and talking about how much we identified with them and wanted some snappy hosts to come make us chicken quesadillas in 1-2-3 seconds flat.

And the mother of mothers: The Clapper

Only a few I called the tv 1-800 number, the rest I found in stores like Meijer. What can I say, I like to try new stuff.
