When do kids start to show they are embarrassed?

I've tried looking this up but can't seem to find what I'm looking for. ?I've noticed that when Sara falls or does something in front of others she gets upset if people see her. ?She just got sick because she choked on her food and after when I asked her if she was alright she put her blanket over her head so I couldn't see her. ?I hugged her and told her it was ok and asked if she felt better.?

Just wondering if they start to show embarrassment around the age of 2. ?

    Mason is starting to do this.   When he tumbles or something, if I ask too quickly, he gets embarrassed and hides his face from me or sometimes, will run to his room.

    I think it's normal.

    Emmy started doing this several months ago.  But mostly she's embarassed when we reprimand her in front of people.  She'll go and hide her face.
