We bedshare, and I woke up this morning and felt an arm around my waist. I thought it was DH trying to snuggle. I reached over to hold his hand and it was DD. She was snuggled up next to me and had wrapped her arm around what she could reach of my waist. Sure beats her kicking me in the face to wake me up.
According to FMIL (who occasionally stays over the night before when she watches DS), DS was crawling around this morning all over the house saying, "Ma! Ma!" to try and find me. That made me both very sad and happy haha.
Also, when DS plays peek-a-boo, he will covers his ears with his hands with his elbows up by his eyes. We're not sure why he does it this way, but it's pretty stinkin' cute.
New stuff is blowing kisses , holding her finger to her mouth and saying shhhhhhhh, the way she will sit and hold her mini board books and it really looks like she is taking a reading break, and theONE that really melted me (because it made her seem like a toddler) she stood behind me holding onto my pants so I bend down and looked at her between my legs...she giggled and walked between my legs... then made it a 10 minute game...
@hummingbirdbaby3 Do you then smother him with kisses? @jkvogt I've only seen DD dance once, I wish she would do it more. @paulaknl DD does a weird kiss blowing thing too, she puts her finger in her mouth and kinda pops it out. shaunnna awww DS misses mama! @credcat7 that is such a big girl move! Is she walking on her own already?
@excitedmum2B Yup we have a walker. She started at 10 1/2 months and is now walking all over, changing direction, bending over to grab things and righting herself back to standing...its crazy how fast after she started walking it came about
He gives kisses that have sound now. So cute, he comes at you in a pucker and makes the kiss sound before he even reaches my face!
Shaunnna V does the same thing! When he does Peek A Boo he covers his ears! My mom Bought him this monkey that says peek a boo and covers/uncovers his eyes. It looks like the monkey covers his ears. I think that's where this is coming from.
When my LO hears music or is playing with any of Grandma's stuffed singing friends--- right now we have Hallmark Halloween exploded all over the house--- he dances and moves his hands like he is conducting music.
And his newest......he signed mama for the first time yesterday and now does it non stop saying mama at same time. I guess I made such a big deal that he now knows I will react!
While giving LO a bath tonight, he was waving his arms & splashing. He would start saying "Ma!" & I repeat it back, then he'd do the same & so on. I was cracking up. I absolutely love how much he makes me smile.
M is walking quite a bit lately. Lately she's been playing a lot with a little doll. She's so cute when she's running (i.e. 10 steps) around smiling with her doll in her hands.

Um I am now convinced our kids are mind melding or something.... sammie does this when anything musical happens.... toys, commercials, etc... its soo cute!
I am jelous over the mama sign... but I don't work at it hard enough
When I get home from work, I BF LO. She expects this and gets excited, and gives lots of smiles. The last two days she has smiled during the entire feed. When I ask her "what's going on little girl" she breaks out in hysterical giggles.
Yesterday, I sat her up on my knee after the feed and asked "what are you doing little girl" and she starting giggling like crazy, fell back of my knee onto the bed and rolled around laughing.
we just started playing h ide and seek-- I crawl fast ahead of her and hide behind furniture, around a corner, or in a different room, and she comes speeding after me, giggling like a crazy person, and looking where I went. Then when I pop out and say "peekaboo" she squeals.
she also tries to repeat "E-I-E-I-O" when we sing "Old MacDonald", and it is pretty darn cute, too.
H makes a hilarious puckered face and sticks his chin up when we tell him, "no." I think he does it because he knows we'll laugh, which he uses as permission to try the forbidden thing.
Regularly? Well.....so many things! When she squeals with glee when we pick her up first thing in the morning (she is always so happy to see us!), her sweet little smiles, how she puckers her little eyebrows in concentration when she is learning something new, when she sighs contentedly in my arms. Every time she says Mama it makes me melt. I love hearing her say it. Or when she stands near the front door after my husband has left for work pining for him. My heart melts in oh so many ways!
She has started swaying her little arms and body side to side to music, bounces up and down too....its so damn cute! And peek a boo.....oh God....she loves, LOVES peek a boo! And she has started picking her nose....I try so hard not to laugh....I can't help it! Ha!
giving kisses (opens her mouth in an O shape) without being asked - tooooo cute
Us too!! O just started this weekend actually giving open mouth kisses without being asked- and really knowing what she is doing.
When I was sick with a stomach virus on Tuesday evening, I had DH take care of her except for when she needed to nurse. When she was around me, she kept opening her mouth and wanting a kiss and it broke my heart when I couldn't kiss her back. I gave her my cheek but it wasn't good enough for her and she opened her mouth for a real kiss again. THE. SADDEST
