I am 4 and a half weeks pp and still feel sore if I do kegals etc. Anyone else still sore? I find it weird its this one odd spot that aches. (I had 0 tears)

Re: still sore?

  • I'm 4 1/2 weeks pp and still sore if I really exert myself -hello, packing for a move across the country tomorrow! - or try wiping in bathroom but I had several tears including a third degree. Just had stitches checked out by midwife yesterday. Turns out I'm allergic to the stuff they stitched me up with! So 4 weeks pp with red, angry, inflamed lady bits. This rocks.
So, this is no help to you, but my chance to gripe ;)

  • Well I had an episiotomy but yep I have better days than others. Still super sore. The thought of possibly being able to have sex next week... Makes my pain worse! Haha!
  • i'll be 3 weeks pp on Friday, and I'm definitely still sore.

I was just thinking about kegels too.. tried one and couldn't do any more because it hurts too much.

I had three 1st degree tears.  I'm pretty sure one is totally healed, another feels like it opens up whenever I use the bathroom or walk too much or move a certain way.  And I feel like my third tear, where my labia minora basically tore off from where it attaches up top, is never going to heal.

The thought of ever having sex again makes me want to cry.

  • I had an episiotomy and 9 days pp and I'm pretty sore still. Not when I do kegals, but when I'm too active during the day (which doesn't take much) and sometimes during a BM.
This is me too. I am almost 4 weeks pp and I had 3 3rd degree tears including one up inside my vagina because LO decided she wanted to impress daddy and come out like a football player with her shoulder. I am really wondering how I am going to go back to teaching in 3 weeks and being on my feet all day if doing laundry and putting away LO's clothes can prove to be too much some days  :-/

3 weeks PP and I get sore if I've been active (cleaning, being out on my feet, etc. for over an hour or two.) I do, however, get crazy itchy at night! I attribute this to healing, but it drives me insane. I think this may be the one and only reason I'm glad DH doesn't get back from Afghanistan until the spring... the thought of anyone going near my lady parts anytime soon just sounds awful, right now.

(ETA: Realized that might have sounded a bit harsh... totally joking about DH being gone!)

  • I am 3.5 pp and also had an episiotomy. I only seem to hurt down after I take a poop. I do have pain when I take my LO for a walk every other day. It kind of feels like I have to go to the bathroom but I don't. Not sure if that is a symptom of a uti?

@tktravels did you say it will never heal?
The open wound part will heal, but the flesh likely won't go back together.  I was told that stitching this area often doesn't work because the tissue is so thin.

I can deal (I think/hope!) with the appearance of it, but right now, the stinging, burning, and throbbing are really getting to me.

I hope we're all feeling better soon!
