Good news...since BD is retired military and disabled...I qualify for a free doula at my birth through a non-profit.
Bad news...I don't qualify for pro bono legal aide through another non profit

I guess I'd have to be living in a cardboard box before I would qualify. Can't believe I don't with my income, health expenses, and being PG.
None the less, emailed an attorney who will HOPEFULLY give me a consult. Plan on spending some more time this weekend tracking down family law attorneys to get a consult from. REALLY need one who is familiar with navigating the military aspect of things. Not planning on retaining counsel, but just need some basic questions answered.
Anyway, after hearing from you guys, talking to friends/family, and doing a tiny start of research...I feel good about custody for the first year. Still need to figure out HOW and WHAT I should ask for....but feel pretty confident she'll stay with me and not have overnights or be taken out of state
