I'm trying to figure out how to do three sets of things on an iphone.  Thanks!

1)  I just got an iPhone 5s and had a 4 before.  How do I transfer my photos and apps to the new phone?  Are the contacts and text messages automatically stored on my profile for that phone # and will they just show up once I activate the new phone?

2)  About 6 months ago my husband accidentally upgraded the OS on my old phone which deleted all of my previous photos, contacts, texts, etc.  Is there any way to get those back that won't also delete what I currently have on the phone?  He somehow managed to delete the back up file as well. :(

3)  Once I activate my new phone, can I still use the old one for apps or does it have to have internet/ an active phone #?  Can you use your itunes account on more than one phone or do you have to have separate ones?

    Do you have an apple store near you? If so they provide the workers free if charge to help you with all questions. You have to call and make an appt. they will help with a lot. I believe they are called "Genius's". HTH

    Not one that's convenient, so I was hoping someone would know what to do.  Thanks for the suggestion.

    Some things can be brought over on the cloud.  Do you have an icloud account?  Personally I plug my phone into my computer and save off all my pictures and videos so I know I have them and then you can drag back only what you want to keep on the phone.  Apps are stored on the cloud but you still have to redownload them (they just recognize that you already paid for them).  I don't think there's any way to recover anything that's been deleted :(

    You should always back your phone up to your computer before you upgrade or switch phones. Anything already deleted is gone since you don't backup. You can use your old phone on wifi but not for calling
