recomend your double stroller

I am currently 13 weeks pregnant with #2.  DD will be just over 2 when new baby arrives.  I am looking into double strollers and it is quite overwhleming.  I am not sure if I want a side by side or not, and I am also not sure about the sit & stand ones either.  I have to go to the store and play with all of them, but first I was looking for some suggestions.  What do you love/hate about your double stroller?

  • We have a City Select as well and have had a chance to use it with DS's cousins and him.  It's awesome and has lots of storage room.  Being able to configure it multiple ways is great.  Downside it is pretty pricey.  Well worth every penny in my books though.
My sister has a couple side by sides and they were always a pain to get through doorways, or through narrow sections of stores like clothing aisles.

  • I have a friend who has twins and she hates her side by side stroller, it is difficult to get thru doorways.  I'm looking into a sit and stand, my daughter is constantly in and out of her stroller already there is no point in getting a full double stroller to use for a few weeks.

  • I love our city select. I like it because the seats can face a number of directions
  • I have a SBS jogger and I only like it for the neighborhood.  It has a benefit of having a little bit of a spot for my 2.5 yo to sit in front if he gets tired (not a real seat and probably not "safe").  Taking it in the car or anywhere narrow really sucks.  I'm going to get the Kolcraft Contours Optima for my twins after much research, try-outs, and recommendations from my fellow twin mom's.  No seat for my 2.5 yo, but he is completely capable of walking, or I can wear a twin if he's super tired.  If I have someone else with me, I throw the umbrella stroller for him in the under basket and break it out if he needs it.

TTC since May 2006. After 3 failed Clomid cycles, 2 failed Injectibles/IUIs, 2 failed IVFs and 1 failed FET, we moved on to adoption!
