  Our doc said a toddler pillow was ok at a year (a toddler pillow is smaller and much thinner than a normal pillow). We got the ClevaMama toddler pillow from Amazon and DD loves it.

  We have a small pillow in the crib.  It's been there a few months now (don't remember when I put it in, maybe around his birthday?).  It's small, not specifically a "toddler pillow," and he doesn't really use it when he sleeps, but in the mornings he's always grabbing for it with his little bear he sleeps with.  I think it may end up being a lovey more than anything else.

  Does anyone know where can you get a toddler pillowcase without buying a whole sheet set? I haven't seen any yet.

  I would check Etsy.  Plus you can make sure it fits exactly if you send the person your pillows measurements.

  my daughter has had a pillow and her own blanket since she was born. she has always slept well and has never had an issue... shes 14 1/2 months
