What have you done to help clear a stuffy nose? And how long does a cold last for these little nuggets??

My LO doesn't have a cold, but newborns often have nasal congestion. We have been using nasal saline and suctioning his nose as needed

My LO got a cold at 3 weeks as well...it was tough since it threw her eating and sleeping off (she nursed often, slept all day and up all might)...and so sad to see her struggling with congestion. ..but we just used saline drops and the suction bulb. Good luck with your LO.

Nose frida works best to me, putting baby Vicks on their feet then put socks on, and use a humidifier throughout day and night. Colds last the same in infants as they do in adults, the average being 7 days.

Agreed we used cool mist humidifier and vicks on her feet with socks as well...I also put some on my chest under my tshirt and let her nap on me.

DD and I both had a cold at 2 weeks. We used the humidifier and nosefrida. She was over it before I was.

DS's cold is still dwindling after a week and 2 days. The ped said to use the aspirator sparingly and just let it run its course. I think we're finally putting him back in his bassinet tonight instead of keeping him at an incline in the RnP

DS got a cold at 2 weeks and has had it for a week today. His pediatrician said to use saline drops prior to feeding and take his temperature frequently. My pedi also said to use the aspirator sparingly and only if you can actually see something in the nose. He also recommended running a humidifier at night.
