Can we have another product raves post?

I realize we had one like a month ago, but I have some things to rave about.

Fekkai Full Blown volume shampoo & conditioner - Normally I use Keratin Complex, but I ran out on Saturday, and my salon (the only place around here I can get it) was closed.  So I ran to Target and picked up the sampler pack of this stuff.  My hair looks and feels amazing today.  Also, it smells so freaking good.  I am repeatedly intentionally 'tossing' my hair so that I can get a whiff.

Rodan & Fields anti-aging products - My SIL's sister is working as a consultant for R&F.  She sent me a Facebook message, asking if it's anything I'd be interested in, and that I should take the skin 'survey' to see what regimen would work best for my skin.  I had taken an ambien, and had not yet fallen asleep, so I took the survey, got my results, and ordered a 3 month supply...which I then forgot about until it arrived.  But oh my god, my skin is looking and feeling pretty fabulous.  Motherhood has me looking perpetually tired, and I have definitely seen an improvement.

A throwback that I've rediscovered my love for...the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette - I have so much freaking makeup, for someone who rarely finds time to properly 'do' my makeup.  I could easily get rid of 90% of my eyeshadow and rely solely on this palette.

Ann Taylor Loft leggings - The 'winter' ones, which are a bit thicker.  I have 3 pairs, and am seriously considering never wearing jeans again.

Is there anything you'd like to rave about?

  • NARS blush. I have it in Orgasm, Seduction, Amour and Desire. All are phenomenal.

Edy's Outshine Fruit Bars, especially the peach flavor. They're heavenly and low cal (two things which rarely go together).

And I will echo @BPer on the Naked 2 palette. I actually DID get rid of all of my other eye shadow. It was worth it.

Me too! I have it in the highlighter-type stick.  I love it.

  • I used to swear by NARS blush, then I ran out and in a pinch picked up a color stick from e.l.f. for like $2 from Target.  As a self proclaimed make up snob, I have to admit, it's pretty damn close to NARS Deep Throat, which is what I used to wear.  If you do a sweep of bronzer over it, it's impossible to tell.  Also, UD eye shadow is totally the shit.  It stays on even without primer on my oily eye lids.  I love it.

I recently bought some Keen shoes to bum around in.  Holy crap.  They're the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned.  https://www.amazon.com/KEEN-Womens-Harvest-Shoe-Stripe/dp/B005DC10HM/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1381247150&sr=8-5&keywords=keen+mary+janes I thought they were whimsical and would go with everything I wear when not at work.  Seriously, the arch is awesome.  They're so comfortable that they feel like they're already broken in.  I love these shoes.

  • Also, I just raved about it in the nail polish thread, but Seche Vite clear base & fast dry top coat.  Manicures last at least a week and the top coat sets everything in less than 3 minutes.  Like where I can do stuff, wash something etc set.  It's the absolute best base/top coat I've ever used and I worked for a salon for almost 10 years and tried out lots and lots of them!

  • Speaking of nail polish, CND, who make the shellac polishes have come out with a 'hybrid' polish. Basically it's more durable than a traditional polish, but doesn't require the UV light to set, and doesn't beat the crap out of your nails. My manicures last 2+ weeks.

I'll second the Keens. My DH was talking about them so I decided I would try them. I can't get enough. I have to stop myself from ordering other colors. These are the ones I have:

    I LOVE them.

Ooo...I love those! I might have to ask for those for Christmas! I can't think of a thing to rave about right now and this thread isn't helping "No Spend October" so I should leave now! Haha

I just called my BIL to see if he'd pick some of this up for me!  He owns a barber shop.  I hope it works as good for me!  Thanks @BPer!

  • Osis dust it hair powder is my long time obsession. I have crazy thick hair and could use a vat of hairspray and would still look like a wet mop. With the Osis, though, I could kill a bitch with my hair height!

Juice Organics Apple Exfoliating Peel is a new favorite of mine. It's made for sensitive skin, so you don't look like you just spent the last millennium in a tanning bed when you're finished with it. It smells good, and a little goes a long way, so it's worth the price, which isn't even really that bad.

Woo! It's been awesome for me. The dry time isn't AS long as traditional polish, but it's not instant-dry like shellac. But apparently, it actually hardens even more throughout the day. My current mani is a week old. I'll snap a photo and get it up on IG.

@jessk86 Did you get the Juice Organics in your last Birchbox?  I'm only asking because I did, but haven't tried it yet.  Glad to hear you like it!

  • @MRoxy0628 yes!! I was going to put Birchbox as a product review, too, but didn't know if that quite qualified.

I was nervous to try it but love it!! I'm almost out of my sample though, but have a full size coming!

  • So leggings that are fleece on the inside. For the winter months. I think I got them at kohls. They are awesome.

I like that it takes already super-comfy pants, and makes them even more pajama-like. I will find these leggings.

Awesome! Thanks @BPer. My polish is always either chipped or I go for shellac and my own nails look horrible when I take it off.

  • MyChelle Sun Shield SPF 28 - I discovered this while looking for a face lotion that was natural/safe during pregnancy and it's now my go-to lotion. It felt greasy when I first started using it, but I absolutely love it now. My skin looks and feels nicer and my makeup looks better when I wear it. Clarisonic- Worth every penny. Diorshow mascara- why do I keep buying drugstore brands!? I always forget how much I love this until I buy it after not using it for a few months.
