Anyone else's LO not rolling over? C will be 20 weeks on Wednesday. About a month ago he rolled from back to front and hasn't rolled since. He is on the bigger side, like the 95th percentile for everything. Do bigger babies take longer to roll, crawl and walk? Just something I was wondering about.
Re: Not rolling over?
I really just think that given the chance babies will do what they want as they are ready. My youngest niece didn`t crawl until after she could walk.
EDIT From what I have read I think the range of when babies do things is pretty big. 20 weeks doesn`t sound late.
EDIT I was 33 lbs by the time I was 9 months old, so pretty chubby.(but not overly huge) I did everything early. My brother was a thin baby and did everything within the average. To be fair by the time I was 2 I had not gained any weight, only height.
I guess I'll just keep enforcing tummy time and see what happens. He's way more interested in sitting up.
They'll all do it when they're ready. Just try to encourage your LO by putting a toy above them so they have to bend and twist to see it.
She also hates tummy time so that isn't helping.
Babies will do things on their own time line, my SILs ex fiancé is a big guy always has been and he was walking when he was 6 months old! His parents found him once on the roof
Of his house when he was 1 year old !! Can you imagine?! So ya some babies are early others later, makes no difference
Yep. But my kid spits up all the time anyway. He's a happy spitter.
Don't worry! LO will roll when ready. I mentioned to my mom I was worried DS wasn't rolling. Within days he started rolling. Now he doesn't stop which makes sleeping a blast! (Insert sarcasm).

Z has been rolling in both directions for quite a while now, and what laxminakvar said is so true! I put her down for tummy time on a blanket, walk to the adjacent room to get a drink, and she's on the other side of the room under the sofa!! We can't set her down on a bed or anything unless we are right there cause she just rolls and rolls and rolls. So definitely enjoy the non-mobile stage while it lasts. And from what I've heard, anywhere from 4-6 months is totally normal for starting to roll. I just try to remind myself that each little person is an individual. They'll do these things when they're ready.
