Dishes confession

Since Garrett was born and I got into a grove I was doing good at having dinner cooked and dishes done, along with cleaning the cat box and kitchen up every night, and having a house that was clean enough I wouldn't be afraid to let someone in the door! (I didn't power clean while pregnant for nothing right)

But tonight I am saying NO! Dinner was a frozen meal that had to be thawed and heated on the stove in a pot and there was a lot of left over so the pot went into the fridge. So the only things in the sink are some bowls and some cups and spoons.

Am I wrong to just leave them and go to bed early lol? There is not enough to run the dish washer lol!

(I did clean the cat box cause lets just face it, my cat brings a whole new meaning to the song Smelly Cat)

  • It's ok to leave dishes I the sink. They'll be there tomorrow. If you have the chance to go to bed early take it and run!

  • I think I've left dishes in my sink every night since Brennan was born. Good for you for only having this happen once!!

  • I would leave dishes in the sink before I had a baby...

  • I was a clean freak before I got pregnant and that is all out the window now. I have no energy to clean anymore.. So I say leave em.

  • Our stupid dishwasher is broken... not going to judge here! I try to pick one project a day- mopping the floors, vaccuuming, whatever, and get it done. Dishes I do as I can- sometimes it takes a day or two!

  • Why not just put them in the dishwasher? I'm just curious because we don't only put dishes in if it's a full load that we can run right then - we put them in as we go and run it when it's full. Is that not what most people do?

I haven't unloaded the dishwasher from night before. I wait to unload till I am about to load it again, so I do it all at once and run it before heading to bed.

This is me.  And I agree with PP who said to tackle one project a day.  That's about all I can handle.  I have no idea how I am going to keep the house up and take care of LO once I go back to work!
