  • Sammer, that's great! Cant wait to hear more.

    I'm feeling better than a few days ago. Time with DH always seems to help. I was in a spot of feeling hopeless the last few days. I just hate not knowing what's I'm store for us. But, this is a new day and a new cycle.

    4 Losses (2003, 2008, Apr 2012, & Oct 2012)
    All RPL and IF testing with multiple REs = normal

    5 IUIs = BFN

    All AL are welcome

  • @Sammer818 That is AWESOME news! I'm so excited for you and wish you the best love! <3

    I don't really have anything new to share that I haven't already shared on TTCAL.. but to sum everything up: I'm now bartending 40+ hours a week and love it! I'm even making more money than I was at my other job so that's a big plus!  We got all the paperwork worked out and I'm now officially on DH's health insurance, so we got that taken care of.  DH finally came around and took me off the bench out of the blue!  So more good news!  And last but not least, I'm finally recovering from my tonsillectomy and am 100% back to normal.  So far so good over here!

    ((Hugs)) everyone, love you all. <3

  • @Sammer818 - I'M SO EXCITED FOR YOU!!!!! Congrats hon on the match and I am keeping everything crossed that it works out. Please keep us posted. And that vacation sounds like a blast, I'm totally jealous of being so close to the ocean.

    @rachaelhudson - I'm sorry that you're having a rough time but I'm so glad you have your DH to lean on. Seriously, what would we do without them. ((hugs))

    @ashx3renee - I'm so happy that you're healing up well, you are working full time and loving it and are now TTC again! So much good in one post! Love ya hon.

    As for me, things are finally starting to look up a little bit. Each day I feel a little better and I actually didn't spend any time in bed yesterday, which is the first time in almost 2 weeks. I'm still really tired and still have a stupid yeast infection, but I'm done the antibiotics for my other infection and am hoping that each day I feel a little more like myself.

    As for TTCAL, we are currently TTA. We've had 4 babies all die at the same time so there is no way we'll be trying again before getting some testing done. I just can't risk it. We go for my D&C follow up on Nov 8th and will be talking about testing then and getting a referral to what I assume is an RE in Toronto. While I'm fine with waiting to TTC, I really wish we knew more about our next steps. I want a plan and I want it now.

  • @sammer818 That is such great news! I am so happy that you found a match! I hope everything continues to go smoothly and happens for you as quickly as possible.

    @ashx3renee Great to hear that everything is coming together for you and you are enjoying your new job.  Are you TTC next cycle?

    @rachelhudson Sorry you were feeling down, I was feeling the same way yesterday.  ((hugs)) I hope today is better for you.

    @jenn0021 Ugh, yeast infections are the worst!! I used to get them like every 2 months. For some reason in the last year I have not gotten them as frequently. I have monthly diflucan scripts from my dr b/c I was getting them so much.  I hope you are able to find an RE you like and get a plan in place quickly!

    As for me, not much to talk about....I am not testing this month b/c I don't feel like torturing myself.  AF should be arriving in a few days. My temp started dropping yesterday and I've been cramping the last few days. I'll be calling the RE this week to get an appointment for DH's SA. Feeling pretty frustrated. Probably because it was this time last year that I got pregnant..got my BFP on Nov. 6 so that is weighing heavily on my mind.

  • @sammer818 - THAT IS AMAZING NEWS!! Yay!! I'm so happy for you, that is so freaking exciting! And it sounds like you had a great vacation, too.

    @rachaelhudson - I'm sorry you're going through a rough time, but I'm glad spending time with DH has made you feel a little better. The unknown really can be stressful. ((hugs))

    @ashx3renee - I'm so excited for you, you're just full of good news lately! Yay for the new job and for being off the bench!

    @jenn0021 - Yeast infections really are horrible, I hope you feel better soon. I know you are still grieving but I'm glad to hear you're feeling a bit more normal. I understand wanting to get testing done before TTCing again, but it does suck. As you know, I had to TTA for 7 months while waiting for surgery, and it was really rough, so I know how much it sucks. ((hugs))

    @amores0121 - I hope AF doesn't come! I'm sorry you're feeling frustrated though. ((hugs))

    My update:
    We have decided to TTC this cycle, even though it may not really be the most responsible thing to do. If by some miracle I get pg, we will deal with the issues and find a way to get the testing I need. I was feeling really stressed about this decision and I feel much better now, and I know we made the right decision. Yay! So I'm happy about that. But, this week is tough because on top of meeting 2 new babies, my EDD for my first loss is tomorrow (and we're meeting one of those babies tomorrow, which in retrospect I maybe should've moved to another day but it is what it is). I can't believe we've been TTC for over 2 years and that I should have a 1-year-old (or be almost due, for my 2nd loss), but we're still nowhere. It really makes me sad, but I know you all feel the same way.

    ((HUGS)) all around.

  • ((big hugs)) to all of you ladies!!

    Not much to report here, other than our big long-awaited OB appointment is on Friday - I can't believe it's been five months of waiting for my testing results to be interpreted, other than by my GP who just said they all looked ok. It's now been over a year of TTC for us, 8 months since our loss, and I turned 40 just a month ago, lots of factors to make me wonder what's in store for us but I'm just glad for this appointment to feel like we're moving forward in some way.

    I don't have anything new in the TTC department as usual.

    On the job front, I got all of my paperwork turned in (finally. the first batch was 37 pages, then they sent more here & there) so now I'm just waiting for it all to be processed. The lady I've been dealing with from the contract company sent me direct deposit forms to fill in so that looks promising. It could still take up to a month, though. I'm getting antsy because we are having to dip into our savings & it's killing me!

  • @sammer818 - Woohoo for getting matched!!!!!!!!!!!!   Very exciting!  I'm glad you had a good trip and enjoyed Nashville but boo on my new job keeping me from meeting you for lunch.

    @rachelhudson - I hope you are still feeling better (((hugs)))

    @ashx3renee - I'm so glad everything is going well and that YH pulled you off of the bench!

    @jenn0021 - I'm glad you are finally starting to feel better and get more back to normal. I hope you can get into an RE quickly and start getting testing done.

    @Amores0121 - (((hugs)))

    @jenek0213 - (((hugs))) and everything about your siggy makes me smile

    @RedTwizzlers - (((hugs))) and I'm so happy you made a decision and are feeling good about it.

    @gscoville - I'm stomping my feet and being angry that you have to wait another month for your appointment. Boo!!!!

    @ncchnat - HI!!!!

    @EKGibs - I'm going to take the direct deposit paperwork as a very good sign. I hope they get you on quickly.

    Update on me -

    TTCAL - We are going the old fashion route of temping and BDing. We shall see how that works. I have not even bothered to try and find an OB/Gyn here and have not contacted the RE that my last RE recommended. DH would do another medicated cycle if I wanted but he really did not handle the stress well enough to make it worth. I just can't handle spending that much money and putting my body through that to end up with zero timing.

    Non-TTCAL - I passed the Bar! I did not tell anyone when scores were going to be released because I just could not handle the pressure of everyone just waiting on that day to find out - and what if my name was not on the list? Out of the 800 people who took the July Bar, 200 did not pass - all smart people who studied and prepared and had friends and family convinced that they would pass. It is just such a hard test. But I also want to tell all of those people that there are so many things in the world worse than not passing.

  • @jalara48 - First of all, GL with the Femara!! You've really been through so much lately. My heart breaks for you for your adoption loss. It's very exciting that you've found a GC, but I understand there are a lot of things that need to fall into place, and that it's very stressful. I am really hoping that option can work itself out somehow. Re: international surrogacy, it definitely is controversial but I totally understand. There's a lot of debate going on where I live (Sweden) about that, because surrogacy is illegal here (strange, because pretty much everything is legal here, LOL!) So there are people who use international surrogates here, and while it's controversial, I really do understand it. My understanding is that there are some agencies that are super sketchy, and others that ensure the well-being of the GC. Good luck. ((hugs))

  • @jalara48 I read your blog a few days about the surrogacy offer...would she be carrying your eggs and DH's sperm? Just wondering because I was confused when you said her husband had to get tested. I wasn't really sure what that meant. I just read an article about surrogates in India and how they all go live in a special house during the time they are pregnant and how though it may make things really hard for them in the community, it gives them the money for opportunities they wouldn't normally have. This one lady was going to be able to send her children to school and build a house! So I think that is good in the sense that you are both benefiting from it.  But how does that work? Would you see them during any point in the surrogacy?

  • @EKGibs - Ahh I am just waiting (im)patiently for an update saying the job is official! That's so exciting that you're going to be able to move forward in the adoption process!

    @jalara48 - Yes, I live in Sweden, crazy, right? (I'm American though, DH is Swedish) ART is not controversial, but they do almost always transfer only 1 embryo, so that's a big difference. The research has shown that in *most* cases, implanting more than 1 embryo does not increase the chances of a take-home baby. The US is starting to catch on, but has been slow to make the change, probably because people have to pay a lot of money and feel like they are increasing their chances if they implant more than one. In Sweden, if you qualify for IVF (there are a few criteria), you get 3 fresh cycles, + all the frozen cycles from those embryos, for free. After that, you can pay OOP for more cycles. Surrogacy is still illegal, like I said, but it is the subject of much debate.
