Kids foods I secretly love!

Ok so as I am putting my chef boyardee dinner on the stove, it made me think of all the foods I eat that are really meant for kids! Here's my list: chef boyardee ravioli, pop tarts, goldfish crackers, froot loops. There's more but these are my faves! Whatcha got?

  • All the bad stuff:

    -Sunny-D
    -Capri-suns
    -Kool-aid
-Pizza Lunchables but I can only eat like one of these every few months.
    -Pop-Tarts
-Mac-N-cheese with the cartoon shapes.. shh
-All the frozen processed evil stuff.
    -Now baby puffs

Luckily though I am able to somewhat contain myself eating bad stuff. Lately though if someone were to offer me money to put the fork down, I might decline.

  • I was buying puffs for LO the other day it's 25 calories for 75 puffs! How come wheat thins arents 1/3 of a calorie?!? ;). I love myself some boxed Mac and cheese...especially when I was preggars. Oh and chicken fingers at a restaurant!

  • Kraft mac and cheese. I only want it about twice a year but when I do, it's delish!

Over-40 parents...what we lack in vigor, we make up for with cunning.
  • I lived off fruity pebbles, cocoa pebbles and lucky charms when I was pregnant. I also love peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, spaghettios with velveeta, mac&cheese, gushers and the yogurt melts for babies.

  • I gotta have me Lucky charms!

  • Cinnamon Toast Crunch! Boxed mac & cheese, and I agree @ClandestineX LOVE the Pizza Lunchables, even thought I haven't had one in years. Which reminds me of the Taco lunchables they used to have. I don't even want to think of what the "meat" was that squeezed out of the packet, but back in 6th grade those were amazing! Sprinkles yogurt I used to love and also Dunkaroos!!! Wish they still had those! Even though my waistline is probably glad they don't!
Glad I am not the only one lol.

Oh and I might be the only one, but I don't care for most cake unless it is the confetti kind or the more adult choice: champagne cake. I would also eat cake frosting out of the little can at every chance I get.. and I much prefer cookie dough over actual cookies. lol

  • Lucky Charms and Teddy Grahams. Mmmm.....

Also, candy. Forget sharing. I will eat it all.
  • Spaghetti-O's with sugar!!!!!

  • PB&J, gushers, spaghetti-o's, fruit by the foot, almost any cereal, frosted animal crackers, mac n cheese.

  • Raviolios, pizza rolls, bagel bites, lunchables, pop tarts, and they used to have dunkaroos but I haven't seen them anymore.....not that I was looking to buy ;). I try to never, ever buy this stuff. I know its been years for all of it except the raviolios lol. When I got my first place it was all about the ramen and hamburger helper!

  • Hamburger helper is the bomb. Especially with some bread and butter or rolls and butter. I could eat an entire thing over the course of a day a long time ago lol.

To be honest, ramen never gets old either.. I have even experimented on throwing in stuff to make it more "Japanese"  lol. I drool when I see ramen in some animes.

  • All of these responses make me sad...that all of this packaged stuff (that we feel guilty about eating!) is marketed to our kids :(. We just bought some Cheerios yesterday and I'm excited about those!

They can market to kids all they want, just like the video game industry markets games like Call of Duty or Halo to kids. It doesn't mean it is right for them to eat just that or play those games. When you install healthy eating in your household more times than not they will pick a healthy counterpart when grocery shopping. MIL pats herself on the back because my husband would order salad as a 3 year old at restaurants or prefer to eat veggies raw over candy. (Now days... LOL)

  • Mac and cheese but it has to be shapes, I don't like the elbow macaroni. Also, spaghetti o's with a few slices of cheddar cheese thrown in

  • Hmmm. There is nothing really that I'm like "oh my God I have to have that." I craved mini wheats when I was pregnant though, but I haven't had them since. I do love me some Special K red berries with sliced banana. AND drinking the leftover milk. Yummmm. ;)

  • Lucky Charms was my #1 pregnancy craving.
I associate most of these foods with college students than with children; ngl, blue box mac and cheese and frozen chicken strips are always in my pantry/freezer. And DH takes PB&J sandwiches to work pretty often.

@ClandestineX: real ramen is a million times better than Top Ramen. Find yourself a Japanese restaurant that serves real ramen, and you'll never be able to go back to the instant stuff (which...may or may not be a good thing).

I have tried real ramen before! I loved going to Hibachi places. Just right now the nearest Japanese place is like 200 miles away so that is a no go for a while now.

  • Cuties! Even though they're made for kids, they are better than "adult oranges" lol. And it's only out at Halloween and its not healthy but I love me some Count Chocula!!!!!!!

Kraft elbow mac n cheese with some shredded cheese thrown in.  I also like it the way I liked it when I was younger - with something spicy thrown in such as hot sauce (rooster sauce & cayenne is really good)!  Oh, and add a side of frozen chicken nuggets (cooked in the micro) with some Gulden's mustard - or any spicy mustard for that matter.

On other days:  Grilled cheese with ketchup, deli sandwich with ruffles cheddar and sour cream chips on the sandwich to make it crunch!

The hubs rolls his eyes at me when I eat this stuff and he makes his own dinner while I drool over mine. haha

Yes! I thought I was the only one who dipped grilled cheese in ketchup!
