being Asian, rice is a huge part of our (and our kiddos') diet. I knew about the whole rice cereal and arsenic thing, so we fed our twins oatmeal. but for some reason i didn't think white rice itself would be contaminated....turns out it is, though only in "trace amounts". btw thanks to a poster on a previous post who brought this to my attention. so I guess the ginormous bag of rice (which is we're almost done with, of course) is from here and not asia, though I don't know if it makes a difference. their diet does consists of many other things other than rice, but it is my "go to" meal and they have it a few times a week. so...do I go about my business and do what I've always done and figure since rice has been around for forever it's probably fine, OR do I look for a rice alternative (and worry like crazy?)? sigh. wouldn't it be nice if we could just raise our babies and not worry about this and that?
