When a show airs 9/8C - it airs at 9 EST, 8CT... what time does it air there? 6? Because it seems strange that shows like WD would air that early when some people are still working and when spoilers could be leaked.... I ask because DH is on the west coast for work when The Walking Dead premieres lol and he wants to know.

I don't know this for a fact. But Im pretty sure they start 3 hours after east coast start time. Which I believe would make it same start time as East coast.
Unless it's sports. Like tonight we would have stay up until 10:30 to see the start of the football game tonight.

Walking dead comes on early over here. I think mine tapes around 6 or so.

For the most part we get it at whatever time it should air. If it airs at 9PM on the east coast, we won't get it until 9PM. However, we have a dish, so some shows will air at East Coast time (6PM our time) and then again at the "regular' time. But not Prime Time shows. We get them at 8/9/10PM, etc.

When we lived in Oregon, live programs aired at the same time as the east coast (so a football game starting at 7ET would air at 4PT), unless it was taped (like the Oscars or American Idol). Our extended cable channels (USA, A&E, TNT, etc) would air programs in the same time slot as the east coast (a show starting at 9ET would air at 9PT) but some HD channels would air programs at the same time as the east coast. For instance, Psych airs on Wednesdays at 10, but USAHD would show it at 7PT.

Exactly this. DH loves that football starts in the morning on weekends, but regularly scheduled stuff is at the same time.
