I have the cute elephant shaped one from target. It's a piece of crap. Definitely looking forward to these answers because we just got it out again last night and it solidified my want to get a new one.

We have the same one cause DH HAD to have the elephant. Pfft.
I got the elephant one from bru, and it's so much better than the other one we had. You can even see the cool must coming from his trunk. Are there different kinds of elephant humidifiers? Mine has been great for me and DS.
But it's sooooo cute! Not sure is they're the same or not @maritza707. It worked fine last year when DS1 was an infant. Now I have to turn the knob on & off multiple times to get it to even turn on (it just turns on to the red light safety mode) and it's sooo loud and clunky sounding. I was pretty anal about cleaning it every day so there's no hard water buildup or anything like that. Just pooped right out I guess.
The Crane Penguin. (We had their frog originally, and also a vicks one, but they didn't work as well.) It is very adjustable, so you can vary how much mist you need.

I was overwhelmed with the number of humidifiers. Lol. We actually put an air purifier in her room and it cleared her right up. She doesn't wake up stuffy anymore.
We have the Crane Owl, and I really like it. We have used it a ton (Los Angeles dry weather, and we're a front facing apt. so the sun heats our place up and the air runs all day). I also have the travel one you put the water bottle I got it at BBB, AND I LOVE IT. I have never used a humidifier pre-baby, and I use that one all the time because it travels from room to room (and obviously when we go to my moms to stay etc.) and it doesn't get the floor/furniture as wet.
We need to get one too. Both kiddos have been stuffy in the mornings. Think we're going to go with the Vicks. Good to know it seems like a smart choice!
