  It does get easier.  I won't say it gets easy necessarily.  Especially on Mondays, after a weekend it's even harder to let go.  But it gets easier.
  Did things not work out with the family that you were looking into keeping him?  Or is that still a work in progress?

  It gets easier! DD loves going to daycare (she's 3 months, so it's not really a love). She gets to watch the older kids play and they sing to her and talk to her all day. Our provider also loves DD and pretty much only puts her down to nap, but otherwise carries her around all day.

  The first day was really hard for me, too.  It does get easier though!!  Hang in there.  Picking up is much more fun

  @TJ1979 - They ended up being too far away.  When I drove it in 5-6 o'clock traffic, it would have been about 45 minutes out of my way...at least. To do that twice a day was just too much.  I live not too far from where they are building the new Exxon headquarters and things have just gotten crazy with traffic. I swear, traffic is now just as bad around where I live as it was when I had to drive downtown everyday. The daycare we ended up going with his only about 5 minutes out of my way--literally, under half a mile.  Today, it took me under 20 minutes to get there, drop him off and get back to my normal to-work driving route and that was probably longer than it will usually take considering this was the first day.

  IF DX: DOR & Fragile X pre-mutation carrier
  2011: FSH 13.3 & E 99; AMH 0.54 2nd FSH 6.2 E 40's AFC: 8
  BFP from Clomid/IUI ~ Pre-e and IUGR during pregnancy ~ DS born 9/4/12
  Feb./March 2013: AMH less than 0.16 (undectable) and AFC = 4;

  That's too bad.  Traffic has been insane this year.  We're moving up to Humble, so I'll be on the north side with you!  Still not close though I don't think.

  It most definitely will get easier. I had a really hard time at first too, but now I don't bat an eye. I do believe however that having a provider you're comfortable with is key. LO's teacher at daycare is more helfpul than my pedi, I know she is in fantastic hands all day and is happy! Hope LO has a good first day! Hang in there.

  That's tough. First time is always the hardest but once you see how happy they are it get's easier.

  Married: 5/09 ~ TTC Since: 10/10 ~ PCOS ~ Progesterone from 10/10 - 2/11 ~ HSG on 3/18 - Clear ~ Started Metformin 1000mg & Clomid 50mg 2/11 ~ Metformin upped to 1500mg 4/6 ~ 6/7 Now going to SG and put on Clomid, Ovidrel, Gonal F, Prometrium, Estrace ~ IUI #1 7/2 = BFP!!!!!! March 6th our little man was born. 

  6/17/13 - Ovidrel, Follistim, Prometrium ~ IUI #1 7/2 = BFP! March 17th our St. Pattys day baby arrived

  10/29/17 - Started process for IVF, got pregnant & miscarried a 2nd time since summer. 2/22 started stims - Menopur, Gonal F, Cetrotide - retrieval 3/6 - , PIO, estrace 3xday - FET 4/18 = Beta 1: 616; Beta 2: 1342 = BFP

  Definitely gets easier...although this is my DS and DD#1's 3rd year at their pre-school/daycare and this is the first year that they both go running in in the morning to see their friends.  But they were always happy when I picked them up, so that made it easier to know that they would be happy once they were there!  Good luck!

  I really hope this works out for you & LO. I bet he will have a great time & at least you know DC will be more reliable than some of your previous nannies. Enjoy picking him up this eve!
