So I read an article about this high school close to my hometown that is infested with snakes and the school administration is not addressing the problem
Yeah, poisonous or not, "wildlife" shouldn't be roaming the schools. I know I would be terrified and I'm sure there are some teenagers that would think it would be funny to play jokes on kids that were afraid. Sounds like a big distractor that needs to be addressed.
Snakes outside in my yard are tolerable, in my house?! No!
I don't see the big deal if they aren't poisonous. Snakes are wild life and they take care of the rat population.
ok this is weird. i don't want 'wild life' roaming my hallways thanks
I didn't watch the video till later, I thought it was an outside school. I don't see a big deal with snakes outside. They need to address the rat problem to get rid of the snakes. Snakes never freaked me out though.

This isn't a one or the other choice. How about they address both issues and get them taken care of?! I don't think it is unreasonable. This isn't a barn on a farm!

...what is an 'outside' school??
Probably outside hallways/covered sidewalks instead of a huge building with indoor hallways. My hs in Orlando was like this and dd's kindergarten campus was also this way.
I'm a teacher and I would not go To work with snakes let alone have my child there. We have a stray cat at my school and that is the limit of the "wildlife" I can tolerate.

I live in California were the weather is always nice. Most of the schools I know of you access the classroom from the outside. So if a snake slithers inside oh well, it must of snuck in. We don't really have large buildings that have a ton of class rooms in it like in sister act lol. Unless it's a college. I don't really know how to describe it or if there is a name for them.
Oooooohh, I gotcha. More like a 'campus'. I was SO confused! I was thinking of, like, wilderness camp or something.
