Family friendly chicago neighborhoods

Hi everyone - the hubs and I are moving now that we're expecting. Any ideas for family friendly chicago neighborhoods? We want something walkable (restaurants, shops, parks/playgrounds) and most importantly safe. So far we've been looking at lincoln park/lakeview. Any other suggestions would be great!
