Baby in a loft

Hi-

Currently we rent a loft apt and by loft I mean it's one floor, but the bedroom walls do not go up to the ceiling and the 2nd room does not have a door. We were looking to move, but we love our place. Our families say we can stay and the baby will get used to whatever noise it's around.

Anyone have experience with a baby in a loft apt? Is staying realistic? Thanks!

We don't have a loft, but I do think they will get used to the noise. We live in a condo on a busy road - there is a ton of street traffic, sirens, etc. Plus, we aren't the quietest when the kids go to bed, but they don't seem bothered by it even though the living room is a stone's throw from the bedrooms. I might throw a curtain or something in the 2nd br, mostly to keep the light out, though.
