  • My DD is Ruth! I like Adah a lot too but you'll have spelling issues.

  • Oh and for a boy I suggest Abram.

  • Miriam and Esther - like
    Miriam and Ruth - like
Miriam and Adah - like PP, I think you're going to have spelling issues with Adah, maybe mn?

Miriam and Moses (too closely connected?) - these are too close for me.  But, I like them both.
    Miriam and Solomon - Like
    Miriam and Jedidiah - Like
Miriam and Abraham - Like, I like Abram more though.

Esther and Jedidiah are my favorites

  • I like all of them.  Esther is a great, underused name, and so is Ruth, which is my DD's middle name, after DH's grandmother.  As for your boy names, I do think Moses is too closely connected to Miriam.  Any of the others would be fine.  I really like Jedidiah.

  • I like all of them! What a tough choice!

  • Miriam and Esther - like it
Miriam and Ruth - Ruth is one of my favorite names (DH doesn't like it :( )
Miriam and Adah - I like it, yes spelled this way (unpopular here). We were strongly considering Adah, but when I look at the number of Ada/Adi/Ava/Aya/Eva's being born, it is WAY too trendy for my taste. Yes, it's slightly different, but most people will think that was what you were going for. (Pretty sure in your other thread you said you wanted unique names - Adah sound-alikes put you in top 5 names, easily)

Miriam and Moses - weren't they siblings in the Bible? Kinda funny, not bad
Miriam and Solomon - NMS, but my favorite of the boys
Miriam and Jedidiah - not digging Jedidiah, what about Josiah?
Miriam and Abraham - very Old Testament sounding, but both good names.

  • I like Esther and Solomon. Moses and Miriam were actually siblings in the Bible (Miriam was even the older sibling!). I wouldn't use Moses with Miriam.

  • I like Miriam and Ruth. I like Ada more but realize that spelling wouldn't have the biblical connection.

Miriam and Solomon. But I like Josiah better.

  • Miriam and Esther - love
    Miriam and Ruth - like
Miriam and Adah - I like Ada, but the "h" looks bizarre to me

    Miriam and Moses - dislike
    Miriam and Solomon - dislike
    Miriam and Jedidiah - dislike
    Miriam and Abraham - love

  • Esther and Abraham.

Love Esther! Never gets a lot of love on this board

  • I know a sibset Esther and Miriam. I think it works great together. I also really like Ruth. I wouldn't do Adah, because of spelling issues.

I like Moses, but think it's too closely connected. Solomon and Abraham are my favourite boy names, with Miriam I think I'd go with Abraham.

  • I do not like Ruth or Esther but I do like Adah. I don't think Adah will be a hard name for people to spell, but maybe my opinion is due to the familiarity to the name.

Have you consider Naomi (or Noemi, for that matter)?

As pp's have said, Abram > Abraham and Solomon is nice as well.
