Halloween poll

So I posted about my decorations. The jumping spider is about a foot round. I will set it up at the bottom of the front steps. Should I set it up to be voice activated so tr kids will set it off unknowingly or use the step pad that tells you to step on it? If I don't use the step pad I will return it for the 8 dollars plus tax but I am wondering if I will scare too many little kids int he neighborhood if I don't use it. It is this but the brown one. https://www.youtube.com/embed/4PIfSPYS4xI?autoplay=1

  • Voice activation! Scare those kids! Lol.

  • Voice activation. My DS would run away screaming, but I would stil laugh. I am a horrible mother.
  • I get freaked out at a lot of "scary" stuff, have never been to a haunted house and prob never will. I still vote for voice activated.
  • I vote no scary spider. I'm thinking of DS & DD who will be 5 & 10 months. They would NOT like it, it would probably cause DS to be done trick or treating, and DD to cry for a good while. What's your average age group of trick or treat-ers? Where we are it's mostly the 8 and under crowd, and I would be seriously annoyed at you if you had that. My parents' house is considered the scariest house in the neighborhood, and they don't have any voice or motion activated things; just a ton of decorations.

  • Oh god that would scare the shit out of DS! And honestly me too. I second what Twister asked - what is the general age group of your ToT'ers? I think if they are all really young then any activation will result in a whole lot of tears.
