Playing at nap time

My son has just learned how to sit himself up, pull himself to stand, and crawl (busy week) and now when I lay him down for naps, he just wants to do all of those things. I lay him down and he'll sit himself up and just want to play. How do you guys handle this and get your kids to lay down and go to sleep!?

    I don't have this exact problem, because my DS doesn't pull up or crawl yet, but he is very active and has a hard time settling down to fall asleep. What I do is put him in the Ergo and either take a quick walk around the block or just walk around his room bouncing and shushing. He'll either fall asleep like that and then I'll put him down or he'll at least chill out enough that I can nurse him to sleep.

    We play at 330am.  I handle it by crying.  :)  Oh, and I also turn on lights/music or whatever is in his crib so he can entertain himself for a bit so I can go back to sleep.

    I believe I complained about this recently too! Lol. Luckily we seem to have moved past this phase. It took about two weeks. Now when I put her down for naps she doesn't get up anymore. GL!
