Exersaucer question

So this weekend we busted out the exersaucer and O loves it! My question is that even though he's long enough for his feet to reach the bottom, he is constantly raising his feet off the ground so he is only being supported by the seat. Is this okay for his hips? I put a small flat pillow under it but he's still suspending himself in the air. I guess I was wondering if I busted it out too soon. Thanks!

Re: Exersaucer question

  • G is still teeny tiny and can't reach the floor so I always place a box underneath. Even so, she still lefts her legs a lot. I don't think it's an issue as long as O isn't in it for longer than 20 minutes at a time or so.

On a side note, we waited to use her jumperoo regularly until 5 months so we were sure her head/neck control was excellent and she was sitting while assisted.

  • E started using hers at 8 weeks, so I would definitely say not too early.  We had a box under her too, but she never really held her legs up, she was jumping constantly.  As long as he's not hanging for too long, I wouldn't worry.
