Flipping 2 sided mattress

DS is 13 months. I was wondering when those with a 2 sided mattress (infant to toddler) flipped it over? It doesn't seem like too much of a difference, but just curious.  Thank you.

    I haven't really looked into this yet, but my plan was to flip it when we converted her crib to the toddler bed.

    I asked the rep where I bought mine, and he said generally when the child is using a pillow or blanket. So, we are going to do it soon. Our child just turned 1.

    I flipped it when DD turned one.  It's just a tad less firm on the toddler side.

    DS is 18 months but we haven't flipped it yet.  He's a great sleeper (knock on wood) so we figure why change it if he's comfortable.  We probably won't flip it at all.  We're not getting him a toddler bed; he'll transition from his crib to regular bed.
