February 2013 Moms

Nerd baby!!!

So, aside from "mama" and "dada,", DD's first word was "book."

Her second word? "Hubble"!!!

The screensaver for our AppleTV is photos taken by the Hubble. She LOVES looking at those photos and laughs and giggles at them.

She first said it like a week and a half ago, and she was just repeating me, and she said it a bunch more times just repeatig after us... but today she was sitting next to me on the couch playing with some toys, and as soon as the screensaver came on, she looked at it and shouted "Hub-BA!" So at this point I'm pretty sure she has connected the word to those pictures.

So yeah. Our baby is a huge nerd already, and DH and I couldn't be prouder. ;-)

Re: Nerd baby!!!

  • You're baby is TALKING already? Like, real words? Holy crap. DD hasn't even said anything close to what I would consider a real word yet.... not even mama or dada.

Haha mine can't either! He started saying something like wahboo this weekend and I thought that was a big deal. :P

I feel like that makes it even better than him using it properly!

And yeah, DD is super verbal. She has a bunch of other sounds she's working on that are starting to sound like words. But like I mentioned in thy other thread, she's making up for it by a lack of mobility.

Ad if she's like me, she'll probably I nonverbal when she's trying to figure that out. I apparently ha a pretty big vocabulary early on, and then completely stopped talking when I was leaning to walk. :-p

  • Once my dd started talking at 7 months, she never shut up! Lol, the child cracks me up. Her first word was "ditty" aka kitty. So far, DS says mum mum and baa baa, which is bottle.
  • Oh, and I not 100% sure, but I think he said Anna, his sisters name yesterday. He made a Nuh noose more than once when looking in her direction.
