I was induced on the 26th of September and after 23 hours and 15 minutes of labor, Kaiea arrived via emergency C-section on 27 September. She was a matter of hours away from sharing a birthday with me, but I am glad she has a day of her own.

The 26th is out anniversary! Happy birthday! I love her name too. I hope you're all doing well.
All I can say at this point is thank god for paternity leave. Recovering from the c-section in a three story house while taking care of myself, baby and the two dogs would be a lot more challenging if DH wasn't around. I am a bit concerned tho bc my discharge paperwork has restrictions to three weeks but DH returns to work before then. They aren't able to grant him regular leave but are willing to let him work the AM shift so he'll be home by the afternoon. I'm glad they're working with him the best they can.

Yayyy! Congrats Momma! Hope you are doing well. Had any hospital visitors? ;-)
LoL yes I did. However I made it clear to the nurses and to my platoon sergeant that I only wanted visitors the day after I have birth. My commander and first sergeant came late Saturday afternoon and another coworker came shortly after. The other people who wanted to come were told not to bc they had all gone to sick call that week and my command didn't want them to get me or baby sick.
As for the battalion command, he was supposed to come by last night but canceled and now wants to come tonight. I just hope we are home from getting LO pictures taken by then.
