Hi you guys,
We found out 2 weeks ago that I'm pregnant and we're really excited. It's our first and it's all so new and overwhelming. It's so hard to collect all the foods that are and aren't safe since there's info all over the net and people antenatal necessarily agreeing. Anyone else finds this hard?
I hope it'll all turn out fine.
Hugs from the Netherlands!
Janne

All Alers Welcome!
Welcome and congrats! My sister is married to a dutch man
Holland is gorgeous.
And I use my judgment for some of it (i.e. I still eat cold lunch meat and soft serve). You can ask your Dr. their opinion, too.
After already being pregnant twice before, I've found that there really isn't a general concensus as to what you can/can't eat. And, typically, everything in moderation is a good mantra to remember. Just use your judgment. I generally just make sure that everything I eat is fully cooked (no raw meats, eggs, or fish) and make sure things are pasturized (cheeses, milk, certain juices).
Nice to meet you guys! Is nice to talk to other people about this before we an break the news! I'm so excited!
Groetjes,
Janne
