Poop help needed - PLEASE!

I know that a lot of you have battled this very issue, so I'm hoping that someone will have some suggestions to help us through. So, the weekend before Labor Day weekend we started potty training. We went straight to undies except night time and pee traing went awesome. Maybe it was too easy and that's why we're up again what we now call the 'shit storm.' Thor can't seem to get to the potty to poop. His times are very unpredictable, and to make it worse, now he tries to hold it in so he won't have an accident. Then the nasty part starts; he starts to go, so he stops himself. We run to the potty, clean his butt, sing, read, play games, etc. we can sit there for an hour and NOTHING!!!!! But sure enough, more will 'sneak out' some short time later. This goes on sometimes for a half of a day. Then, his bottom ends up raw from all the wiping. Then the full blow melt down of 'my butt hurts!!!' I need help, suggestions, whiskey, anything that will help. Oh, and yeh, the whisky is for me ;) we've tried being firm, bribing, encouragement, and nothing seems to help. Please, I'll try just about anything at this point. TIA for any words of wisdom you can share :)

    I'm sorry I have no advice. But ::gives whiskey:: I CAN do that. ;)
    I used to be a big deal.  Now I'm just old.

    Ok, it might sound weird but with my nephew they had to let him start pooping in the bathtub. He was doing something similar to your LO and had to go then couldn't on the toilet. They finally would put him in the tub until he relaxed then they could quickly put him back on the toilet. They only had to do it a few times before he got it.

    DS did this. I put a pull up on him and just stopped talking about it for a few weeks. I then started asking him if he wanted to poop in the bathroom. He eventually said yes and I'd let him stand in there by himself and poop in his pull-up. One day I heard him putting his seat on the potty and let him do his thing and success!! He did it on his own time!
