Do you still ride in the back seat with LO (or did you ever)? How old was LO when you stopped?

S is 5 months and I still ride in the back with her. We're currently on our way home from vacation (trip :-) ) so it's easier for me to feed and tend to her over these 11ish hours of driving, but I almost always still ride with her in the back. Didn't know if that was weird or not.

I rode in the back on the way home from the hospital. That's about it. Sometimes on really long road trips I'll sit with her for a bit to play, but we stop every 3 hours on road trips to feed her and stretch her/our legs.

I only ride in the back with Hannah when we're on a long road trip and she starts to lose it. Then we pull over and I sit in the back. I don't like being in the backseat personally.

Same for me. I get car sick in the back seat.

I stopped riding in the back with DS on long trips - five hours to my parents' house - when we turned his car seat to be FFing at two years. Then I went back to the back seat when K&A were born so I guess I took a three month break from the back seat.

On short car trips I sit up front but it is just easier to have me in back for now.

With my first, I rode in the back seat for about 2 weeks. With my second baby, i didn't even ride in the back on the way home from the hospital. It's tough to squeeze between 2 carseats.

I did it for the first few weeks and that was it. I'll occasionally do it now just to keep him awake.

Oh, just do what works for you guys! We do the same as @ccam. If J falls asleep in the car, we are screwed on nap.

I was in the back a lot in the beginning. Especially for long trips. Not weird at all just easier. Not sure when I stopped because I still do sometimes and he is 2. Lol

DH doesn't drive, so never. If we are driving a longer distance and my sister is coming w us, DH usually will sit in the back w DD1.

I did ride in the back on the way home from the hospital. My mom drove us.

I sat in the back on the way home from the hospital and for the first few weeks. Now I will go back if she is screaming crying (which she only does if she is overtired - it's only happened a handful of times).

On a side note, I don't think you are spoiling her at all! Younger sibs have older sibs to keep them company, S doesn't have that yet so I'm sure she enjoys the company!

I rode in the back for the first three weeks, but not every time. When we had long drives, I sat in the back when she was older to keep her company, but then we figured out that if she is having a meltdown it just makes it worse. I think she is like 'why the heck won't you pick me up mom!!!!!!' Lol, so now I stay up front.
