Video monitor - which one???

Anyone have a video monitor? Which one would you recommend and why? Any you would NOT recommend-- why not?

They're so pricey; I want to make sure I get the best one for our needs!

We had the Summer Infant day/night monitor with DS1 who is 5 now and it was great back then, but for DS2 who is now 9 weeks, we opted for the Motorola one that zooms and moves so you can look around the room. I love the zoom, but it makes the slightest humming sound when you move the camera to pan the room via remote and always wakes my LO. He wakes easily! I like that I can talk to him through the monitor and that it shows the temperature of the room on the screen. We have the smaller one and the screen size is fine.

I have the Motorola one (the more expensive of the two-so I can adjust the angle using the remote part) and love it. It does act up sometimes and screen just turns white. But overall it's amazing. I know quite a few people with this one, that's why I bought it, and they all like it too.

It can play songs into the room, you can talk to LO, you can see room temp, zoom and pan. Battery life isn't the best though. LO goes down at 6pm and on a full charge by 10pm-ish it's dying. I just bring the plug with me though, not a big deal.

We bought Samsung BabyView at Target for $180. It was highly rated by Baby Bargains. It has a zoom, but the camera doesn't move. Honestly, we never need to adjust the camera so that doesn't bother us. The sound quality is good and the battery life is awesome. The picture quality at night is really crisp which is nice. We will probably buy an additional camera later and link it to the monitor if we have two LOs that need monitoring.

I have this one...and I love it! Best investment ever. Helped me sleep a lot better after we first put him in his own crib in the nursery (first time Momma here). And I still love it 5 months later! Right now I really love the temperature read out to ensure he is warm enough and the sound and visual quality is excellent! I plug it in at my night stand every night so I only have it off the charger from when he goes to be and when I go to bed which is usually about 3-4 hours. LOVE IT!

The motorola ones look pretty good! But now, I can't figure out which of the models I truly would need?! Like do I really need zoom? Is the Lullaby a must? etc.? Or do I save like $30 and forgo some of those options, etc.?

We have a Motorola (same one jobiann links to) - and it's awesome; great screen and sound quality - but we have never used the lullabies and the zoom is a little fuzzy to me. DS also gets totally freaked out when we use the microphone feature so we have barely used it but maybe when he's older, it will have a better effect. The infrared night vision, though, is worth every penny. And, it's nice to have the temperature monitor also. Sometimes I think it's slightly off but it's nice to at least be able to tell if the temperature in general seems higher or lower than normal.
