Are these kids for real?? Vent!

My step children will not eat anything that isn't McDonald's or grossly unhealthy. I made spaghetti but used rotini noodles instead (Hayden does better with those) and they were like "gross!! What's wrong with the noodles!" They didn't even taste it!
So I made sandwiches with turkey and cheese only. They refused to eat the sandwiches because the cheese wasn't "all yellow". It was Colby jack!
So there's a bunch of food in my garbage can and I heard one of them whisper to my husband "can we go to McDonald's?"
Thankfully he's on my side and lost his sh!t on them. I excused myself and am now hiding in my bedroom with Hayden, who ate all his spaghetti AND some turkey AND a cup of milk AND applesauce.
I can still hear my husband giving them what-for.

    I hope your DH stands his ground, little turds sounds about right, I'm also secretly jealous at how well Hayden eats!

    They are 8 and 10. Their mom works at McDonald's so I get that she's a lazy sack of crap and only feeds them what she gets for free at work. But still. Don't be little a-holes about it. Sheesh! At least try it!
    I had to leave. If they were my own kids acting that way, it would have been a rough night at our house!
    I'm tempted to make them make dinner next time, then act like a bitch when they serve it.

    We've had "family meetings" in the past about being respectful. My husband told them that they needed to answer me when I spoke to them and that they needed to treat me with the same respect they give him, especially when he's not home with us.
    They are terrible to their stepdad because their mom treats him like crap. They call him a jerk and stuff. It's weird... We can them Trashley and her doormat. But not in front of the kids.
