Any bakers, question on chocolate lollipops...

For my son's preschool I was asked to make chocolate lollipops. Although I bake a lot, I've never done these. Looks very easy, melt chocolate into molds then freeze. But now Im reading about tempered vs non tempered chocolate. Which brand chocolate do you use for a rich milk chocolate taste. Do I need to temper?

  • I have used Ghirardelli melting chocolate for this.  I've also used the melting chocolates at Michael's, but they're less yummy.

Honestly, I wouldn't overthink this for preschoolers.  Just use whatever is cheapest/easiest.

  • Ditto--- go to your baking store or Michael's or whatever, buy the bag of candy making chocolate pieces, melt & put in the molds. Don't go nuts :)
