Always bargain. That's my lesson for the day.

We're going to New York in a couple weeks. Yay! Seriously, I cannot wait. I LOVE LOVE LOVE New York. Anyway, I found this place to stay through airbnb --great site btw. It's especially nice with the littlies because you get a whole house or condo for less than a hotel and you can put your kid to bed  with no need to tiptoe around a hotel room. Anyway, I found a great place in the Financial District, not ideal exactly but Manhattan is so easy to navigate that anywhere is good. Plus, there's an amazeballs view of the Brooklyn Bridge, which I love. I told the owner that my H really wanted me to find somewhere cheaper and he took $80 off the price! I had no idea he would do that but it never hurts to ask. Yay! Anyway, people who like to go to New York, what are your favorite things to do there?

    Well, if and when you do go, you're going to come home feeling like you did nothing. I always feel that way even of it's a go go go trip. I felt that way after London even more, though.

    I had to look that up. The Cloiosters in DC is a gross apartment complex that wouldn't leave me alone when we were looking for a place.

    We love going to FAO Schwartz to play on the piano.  We also love going to Times Square at night to see the lights.  Central Park is always a good time.  Strawberry Fields for people watching.  The zoo is nice but really small compared to what we have back home.  We've been to the wax museum which was fun!  We saw Alicia Keys the last time we went unveiling her wax figure and the Transformers were having their movie premiere.  Saw lots of celebrities!  I love going to NYC.  Before DS one of my sisters and I would make it an annual weekend trip in December.  We'd spend the weekend shopping and always went to visit Santa at Macy's.  The line for that was insane!  If you haven't done it already I'd recommend taking one of the tours they have.  You can buy tickets near Time Square.  I forget what the name of the tour group is but its really convenient because you can get dropped off at certain sites and take another bus later on to continue.  It brings you everywhere!

    I love the Museum of Natural History. My DH grew up near there and used it as his indoor playground.

    As far as everything being negotiable, we found that out during wedding planning.
