Miss being pregnant

I delivered 9/27 and am absolutely in love with my baby. I have PCOS and after 9 years of no birth control, we had a surprise, yet welcome pregnancy. I am a FTM at 35, but have raised my stepson since he was 5. He'll be 18 on 10/10. I choose to have my tubes tied and after a hellacious labor that led to emergency c section when Callie's heart rate dropped. I'm sitting staring at my 8 day old baby and miss feeling her move inside me. I know many of you ladies are ready to deliver and see your precious babies, but cherish those moments of them on the inside. It's an amazing miracle.

  • She's beautiful! I remember missing feeling DD moving around inside me once she was born. I wonder if I'll miss it again this time!
  • I hear this is very common. I also have PCOS, and took years to conceive. I'm cherishing each day with her still inside, just in case I never get to experience this again. I can't wait to meet her though. So excited!

  • I am a ftm too and as much as I can't wait to meet my son I can already tell I may miss being pregnant. We share our bodies with them for so long it makes sense to miss that when it is suddenly gone!
    Your daughter is beautiful!

  • What a thoughtful reminder, thank you! I'm uncomfortable and so excited to meet my LO but I'm going to take more time to appreciate her rolling around and being all mine today!

  • This is my first and only pregnancy. We have fertility issues and are getting older. I love lazy mornings of just feeling my babies swirl around in my tummy. However, I am ready to be done (in 18 days). My body is tired and I am mentally exhausted from 10 weeks of bedrest and worry.

  • After both of my pregnancies I can honestly and truly say I don't miss being pregnant at all. I love my outside babies and although pregnancy is a miracle and I'm so thankful I could conceive, I certainly do not miss it!

  • I don't love being pregnant- it fact I think it sucks. I thought when I had DD#1 that I would not miss being pregnant. But I did miss it. Not the horrible parts, but just feeling her move and my big bump.

    Same here!
  • I actually hated pregnancy with my last and I hate it this time too. I can't wait to be done. Although I know those PP hormones can be tricky little buggers and try their best to convince me otherwise.

  • How I feel anymore. Yes I want him to come when he's all ready, but...

  • I am ready to be done but at the same time I know that I will miss my adorable bump. I mean it may sound vain but my as ugly as my face current is (pasty white and flakey) my body is pretty darn cute ;)
  • I suppose I should add I had an amazing pregnancy - especially for being high risk due to AMA, hypertension and a thyroidectomy. I only gained 7 pounds and wore most of my prepregnancy clothes the entire time. I'm a bigger girl anyway. I completely understand those of you who have had morning sickness, achy ness and other things to make your pregnancy uncomfortable wanting to be done or not missing it.

  • I don't miss being pregnant. I was ready for it to end and even though I haven't gotten much sleep I'm enjoying my son way more on the outside.
