Sterilizing bottles-- has anyone else noticed this?

When I sterilize the bottles and let them dry, they get this white powder on them. It's worse if I just boil them in a pot-- now I use the Medela steam bags in the microwave, which curbed the problem for a while, but this past weekend I noticed it again. Is it because of the hard water we have here in SA?

i am pretty sure it is from the hard water. ?Get a gallon of water from HEB and see what happens. ?I don't think the hard water will hurt anything though!

that would make sense... that doesn't happen to me but we have a water softener thanks to the previous owners.

P.S. Sterilizer bags get pricey. I am in love with my Avent Microwave sterilizer 7min on high and they are done! $7.70 for twenty bags or $30 for something that isn't disposable.
