DS doesn't eat veggies. He will eat cherry tomatoes and carrots, but everything else is pretty much a no-go these days. (Well...he did eat spinach the last time we had a spinach salad, but he called it "leaves" and thought we were eating like dinosaurs. It only worked once.)
At his 2 year appointment, the NP suggested smoothies, but that was a complete failure. Soooo....I made popsicles. I had just planned to do the banana "ice cream" where you freeze the bananas and blend them to ice cream consistency, but I decided to turn them into popsicles. I blended bananas, peanut butter, and just enough kale so that it wouldn't affect the flavor, and he LOVED it. He probably ate the equivalent of one leaf of kale, but that's better than nothing, right?
I'm curious to try some other fruit. If I get around to it, I'll report back.
Re: leafy greens SUCCESS!
I am going to try this
Do you think he might get more into it if you asked him to pick what veggie to add to hos smoothie? Just a thought...
