I cannot stand the filth of some people.
My parents house got robbed today. They took her 2ct diamond wedding ring, cameras, laptops, money...everything.
My heart is so broken for them. They lost so much.
But they took something that means so much to me. Every picture I had on my old cell phone was saved on my moms computer. Every pregnancy photo, every picture from our girls in the hospital, every video. EVERYTHING. All I have now are the current pics of them on my cell phone (4 months and up) and the few things I had posted to Facebook. Everything else is a blissful memory.
I just want to cry.
And I didn't lose even a portion of what they did.
My mom called and told me and I just don't know how she stayed so positive. All she said was that they could take anything material they want but she's just happy they had half a heart to leave her dogs behind.
The nerve of some people. I wonder if they even realize that taking just ONE thing lead to a chain of other things they didn't even realize they took.
Ugh.

Re: NBR: So mad!
I have an iPhone and they were supposed to be backed up on my iCloud but didn't. For some reason my iCloud was all messed up and wouldn't save anything. So when I let a friend borrow my old phone, JUST INCASE, anything of mine were to get deleted, I transferred them all to her computer and her external hard drive. Well, my stuff on the old phone DID get erased when she had all her stuff put on the phone and not only did the theif take the computer BUT the external as well.
I know this might not help but did you ever upload to shutterfly or snapfish? They would still have them.

If you upload a pic taken from the same camera, it searches the web for other photos taken with the same one. I'm so sorry for your loss. Did you put a request out to friends for any photos they might have taken? Maybe a big sign on your parents lawn asking for the return of the hard drive- again, long shot, but stranger things have happened.
Over-40 parents...what we lack in vigor, we make up for with cunning.
I'm also checking Craigslist daily. It just really sucks
