TMI question re going #2 and vaginal bleeding/spotting

Hmmm, how do I ask this tactfully. 

Typically I don't have to push too much when going #2; however, if I have any amount of straining I'll have bloody discharge from the vaginal area. I can specifically just wipe this area and see the bloody discharge. This has happened 3 times maybe. I'm just now starting to make the connection between the spotting I've had and going #2. 

Does this happen to anyone else? Is it semi-normal?

    When I had some vaginal bleeding, I was asked if I had been straining (I hadn't).  But I was told it can be normal but to call anytime you see red or pink blood.

    Are you sure that it's vaginal bleeding? I know that hemorrhoids can bleed from having a BM and straining. You said you noticed it after going #2, so maybe that is what's causing the bleeding?
