DSNG and Graco Smart Seat

I can't find anywhere if the Graco Smart Seat All-in-One Convertible will fit in the DSNG. Anyone have this combination? I can't find any stores around here that carry the DSNG for me test if they'll fit.

Re: DSNG and Graco Smart Seat

  • The DSNG is designed for infant seats. I doubt it fits a convertible seat.

The Graco Smart Seat is an infant seat to booster seat. It has a base where the car seat can be removed from.

From what I've looked up, it wouldn't work - please correct me if I'm wrong. The Smart Seat is designed so that you have to manually lock it into the base, rather than a latch-in base - it doesn't look like it has the right mechanisms in the right spots to be able to latch or lock on to any kind of snap n go. I was looking at them to see if they'd be compatible with our Graco stroller system, but it doesn't seem like they are.

I think the primary perk here is really just being able to move the seats to and from the car, convenient for people with multiple cars or day cares that transport or even just getting multiples buckled before putting them in the car, which still might be good enough reason for us to get them. We were originally going to go with the Radians since they have such a long lifespan and high weight accommodation, but the Smart Seat offers the same perks with the benefit of the base. The boys are about ready to outgrow their infant seats, so we've got to break down and make our decision.

  • No advice but man this is a great idea! I wish this was out when I was looking into seats.

  • We don't necessarily have the cash for them right this moment, but it would make getting the boys in and out of the car a lot easier for us (we are still driving a mid 90s minivan with only one side door) - get'em buckled first and then pop the seats in.

  • haha! I asked this question over a year ago and forgot all about it. We went with the Graco 30 infant seats and moved the boys into Diono Radian RXTs when they turned 7 months old. One of our boys outgrew the infant seat, the other was close behind, so we just moved them up.

  • LOL I know I know, thread-necromancy is generally looked down upon, but with the newer format on the forums I figured that it would both bump this into visibility, and possibly notify you so you could give more feedback if you had decided to go with them ;)
