Court today, Not what I was expecting at all!

DH had court today with BM over C/S again. We weren't even sure why he had to be there as it was a follow up on the investigation on BM to see how long she collected money for SD's on her SSI. BM wasn't there. I haven't sent the attorney any documentation past mid July as no court dates had been set.
I did send him the voicemails from BM from yesterday saying she couldn't be in court today b/c she didn't have gas money to get there. So court (prosecutor's office) went like this:
Judge and attorney talk and go over what the attorney has collected, some from my past documentation. The judge looks at the prosecutor and attorney, he said "just draw up whatever and I'll sign it" and walks out. There was a conversation in my documentation from April between DH and BM. BM told DH that she was making $200 an hour stripping. I had totally forgotten about this. They used that as BM's income and DH was granted C/S. The attorney's were talking along with the prosecutor and when they said they were using that, one of them said "that is considered money under the table" the PROSECUTOR said "you mean she's making money on the table" They laughed and joked about that along with a few other things including the attorney being sued. They then calculated what DH is supposed to get (I'm sure she won't pay unless it is directly taken out of her check, not sure how that works) along with back C/S.
BM is in contempt but they will not issue a body attachment on her this time. BM will have to go back again for the investigation within the next month or two and if she doesn't show up then, there will be a body attachment and she will be incarcerated until the C/S she owes is paid in full (I guess that would be her bond)
I think they are sick of playing with her. BM has shown up for court 3 out of 6 or 7 times now. The first C/S case where DH was told that SSI isn't income and she has to pay nothing, initial hearing for divorce and final hearing for divorce. At both of the divorce hearings, the only thing she talked about was material items she wanted from the home, SD's not included.
Before leaving the attorneys told DH he had grounds to have someone adopt and terminate BM's rights. I would love to do it but there is a lot to think about with that. I guess that's a whole different topic. A lot of thought has already been put into it, I just don't think it's something to take lightly. And I know she will not willingly go along with it.

Side note: I honestly don't think BM is or was a stripper. For one she is blind and not to be mean but her teeth are literally rotting out of her head. All of her teeth on one side of her mouth that are in view when she smiles are black nubs and on the other side are brown and black.
I also have nothing against dancing.

Judges find it to be extremely disrespectful when someone doesn't show up for court or file their paperwork. After it happens more than once, she looks like a complete asshole. Maybe being locked up is what she needs. Maybe it will be a wake up call? Probably not though.
Youre doing a great job. I know how stressful this stuff can be. Your DH and SKs (and your own babes) are lucky to have you!!
Hey! How are you? No.. the crazy hasn't calmed down, it has actually gotten worse. I haven't vented it on here though. I just laugh it off. I have to. It's nothing about the kids when she calls, So I don't feel bad about laughing it off. lol.
I have been hoping for her to come around for over a year and it hasn't happened. Only gotten worse for us and for SD's on an entirely different level.
I did give her some legal advice (I'm by far an attorney) just common knowledge. I have done this in the past and she didn't take it.
I don't feel bad for anything she has to go through now. She has done it to herself and SD's haven't deserved any of it.

Does she get SSI because she is blind? ew... about her teeth. But i have seen some nasty looking strippers, so you never know.
@Bebe11 She first started getting SSI in High School. Her mom got it for her for learning disabilities. When she dropped out, She switched it to being deaf.. No one believes she is deaf. She became blind while in labor with a baby that should be my SS now but he passed from strangulation at 3 months old.
and I agree, ya never know but she literally walks into things. I just don't know.. she's crazy.. I am referred to as "DH's stripper whore girlfriend" at least 20 times a week in VM's, along with her passion to talk about my va jay jay. haha.
@Nineoceans Thank you. She seems adamant that she will be here for her visit this weekend so I'm not sure if that will change things but then again.. not worried too much.. She always promises to come.
@twister22 That did cross my mind. I'm not taking it lightly, mostly the mom in me but then again.. I have basically been their mom. My answer is definitely yes.. I want to do it, but I know there are more things to consider than protecting them. I just see that as the #1 thing. But there are some things DH and I need to agree on as well, in case our relationship doesn't last as we hope.
