My camera of course messes up on the first day (our real sunrise was at 7:34 in Cincinnati, OH). I still want to participate, so I am bending the rules. Instead, I share a meaningful sunrise picture with you all. It was taken in NC a few years ago of me and DH.

Ok, I did not take this picture this morning but this is the sunrise over Glen Lake: the lake Mary Glen was name after. This is our refuge, our escape, our safe haven. It only seems fitting that I posted a beautiful sunrise from the lake to kickoff this photo challenge with a beautiful shot of our favorite place. It's a new month, a new challenge and the beginning of a new year for me...today's my birthday. I pray this new month brings us healing.

Living in the city, it's difficult to get a good picture of the sunrise (or see the sun in the first hour...) but caught it as early as I could shining through the trees I was leaving for work. (I wanted to share the picture of the sunrise I took from my hospital window on my birthday (two days before the triplets were born) but that picture must be on my computer, not my phone. )

My first shot at 6:45 didn't look great, the sun was too low. But when I left for work at 7:30 I was able to snag this one. This is the sunrise in NJ.

Taken this morning when I went on a run...at one point I had to climb on the railroad tracks to take pics and I was up so high I would have to roll down the hill if a train came...a cop passed by and stopped for a while and watched me...very interesting morning.

I couldn't see the sunrise because my neighbors house blocks my view, so while I was driving to work, I snapped a picture while at a stop light!

This is "my sunrise" at 7:45ish in Hamburg, NJ.
