We are a bilingual household. My LO is 10 months. She seems way behind on word comprehension. The only word she seems to understand is no, because it is the same in both languages and my hubby says it a lot. Is anyone else experiencing this? I expect her to be a bit slower speaking, but I am surprised that she doesn't seem to be responding to anything. Sometimes the sign for eat and us saying no. That's about it. I've been trying to sign more for a couple of months now and she isn't getting it. Not just not doing it but not responding to it when I do it. And then of course the spoken language either. Any suggestions? Am I expecting too much? It seems like others are moving forward.
