I sent my friend (former friend I guess), who suffered a terrible loss last month a fruit basket. I kind of hoped she or her husband would at least reach out to me or DH to let us know they got it. I used an address I had on file for her. I don't think they have moved but I'm a little annoyed/worried because I put in another order at the same time for some flowers to go to her on the one month mark.
I feel like a douche because I'm annoyed over that. She has other more important things to deal with.
I went to use a free $10 coupon at BRU yesterday and ended up spending 20 bucks in addition..baby got 2 pairs of shoes and 2 containers of puffs and some corner pads for our living room end table.
I bought the cutest converse soft bottom shoes but returned them because they were a PITA to put on her, I don't have time for that!
Oh and my back is on fire I wish we could buy a new bed.. or I wish we had bought it back in the day when I thought we could afford it.
I plan on buying a Christmas tree in the next couple weeks. This completely eats at me for the fact I am supporting the Christmas crap 2-3 months out. I am buying a small one for my dad's room and want to have the best selection, but it is still way too early.
I let K eat a cookie for my dad's birthday. He can't eat himself, but enjoyed watching her make a giant mess of herself. (Since, sugar seems to be a hot topic.)
sorry it seems I hijacked the thread.. just to clarify I am not a strict no sugar ever mom... she has licked a spoon with ice cream on it... she has had a sweet taste here and there.. this is more about the AMOUNT of sugar a frosted cake or cupcake entails, the fact that sammie STUFFS her mouth with whatever food here is and that it will be 11 in the morning.....
I saw my friends son literally crash 20 min after his smash cake happened.... it was kinda sad... I kept picturing his little brain going crazy on overload...
I feed C her puffs off the floor most mornings because they end up there anyway and it keeps her busy for the 10 minutes I need to make her actual breakfast.
i havent had sex in over a week and AF is on her way this weekend...I dont have any desire Ive been going to bed at like 9:30 and waking up at 7 still feeling tired.
I plan on making a sugar-ful cake for H's birthday. I guess that's my FFFC?
I'm a health food freak. I don't give my kid anything processed ...at all (until she is old enough to ask for it). That being said, I believe it's important to teach moderation. We fully intend on celebrating her birthday with a yummy, sugar filled birthday cake. It's a celebration, yo

We've totally done this a couple of times. Glad I'm not the only one.
Update from my earlier one: I was productive today. I got a lot cleaned and organized. I also snuck in an hour and a half nap. The baby and I are keeping that one secret.

for all my posts about birthday parties for 1st birthday being too much and silly....
I have 36 people who said YES to the evite to sammie's 1st bday ( this includes kids)
we are honestly meeting at the marina at 11am with coffee and bagels for the adults, juice and gogurts for the kids.
Now I feel kinda obligated to have a cake though... can we just sing happy birthday around something else??? Hmm time to make up a new tradition!
@unconnhuskie007 while cost is def a consideration I am thinking more
1) I have no desire for LO to have frosting and cake
2) don't want to sugar up my friends kids at 11 am
Looked and found a ton of sugar free ideas... leading choice right now is to make a banana bread cake in an bundt pan and use podwered sugar on top

My confessions are weak.
I ate two lunches today. When I made oatmeal this morning, I put of bowl full of frosted mini-wheats on top. I just ate a bag of almonds.
...and I'm thinking about buying a bag of sour patch kids and laying waste to the entire thing. Like, the large family bag of sour patch kids.
and - I just canceled my gym membership because I hated walking to the gym.
A year ago at this time I was running 5 days a week and eating 5 fruits and vegetables a day, and banned candy from the house.
