Trying to Get Pregnant

Most sensitive early test?

Am i correct in remembering frer is really as sensitive as it gets? I got what seems to be a super faint, turn the test ever so slightly to the left positive on a frer test this morning at 9 dpo, it is so faint though that I worry my eyes are playing tricks on me. I am not a patient person so just curious if there is anything that would be more sensitive that I could take later today after holding it for several hours or doi just need to buckle down and wait?

Eyes are probably playing tricks on you, but you never know.

You're only 9dpo and testing before that is not recommended. General suggestion is 14dpo or longer. Wait a few more days, but if you're super excited (i would be haha) then take one tomorrow. 10dpo is about a 34% chance of a positive test so keep that in mind.

  • Oh trust me, I know 9dpo is very early. I am something of a habitual tester. I got very clear bfps at 9dpo with 2 of my kids though, the other one I was still getting very faint lines well past the time I had missed my period. Just trying to decide if there is perhaps a more sensitive test I could be taking.
  • I've always considered FRER the most sensitive.

  • Sometimes you just have to be a patient adult. If you got anything resembling a line today, you will surely get something stronger in the days ahead. Something tells me you'll test again today with a frer anyway so me typing all this out is pointless...

If it was super faint, testing with less diluted pee might not clear anything up. FMU is always the best for HPTs so I would definitely wait until tomorrow and not test any more today.

Woah, absolutely no need for attitude. I was only planning on testing if someone had told me that perhaps frer wasn't the most sensitive anymore. I have 3 kids and have been off the TTC train for a while. I knew that the last time we were trying FRER was the most sensitive but it has been more than a couple of years now and things can change. Thanks to those who cleared up that FRER is still my best bet.
