Hey.. Just read your post in the TPR checkin. Sorry to hear about everything. I too was just diagnosed with blood clotting disorder and don't know much about it yet. RE said I will need to be on Heprin for pregnancy. We should compare notes when we both have more info. I still have more blood work that hasn't come in yet so waiting on that. If your comfortable sharing when you get more info i would love to hear it. And I can let you know what I find out about mine.. Who knows we may have the same stuff! Glad to see ya back!

Butting in-- can I ask what bloodwork you had done to check for clotting disorders??

Oh I wish I knew.... I was so caught up in the ultrasound and the miscarriage that few days he mentioned some things hut I was so spaced out.! Usually I'm recording his conversations we have in his office so I can go back and listen to them but I didn't. So they took like 15 vials and all I know is he was going to check for lots of different types of things. When we talked on the phone today I was kinda caught off gaurd and all the terms he was using was flyin right over my head. I may email him tonight and see if he can email me back with the exact name of the blood disorder.
All this is just another thing to add to the freakin pile!

After my first m/c, I had my blood drawn and had some abnormal results that looked like a blood clotting disorder. But after asking questions, I learned that these tests really shouldn't be done right after a loss because pregnancy can skew the results. In my case, the first test results indicated a clotting disorder and that was 3 weeks past loss. But I had them re-run about 6 weeks later and the results were normal. Just throwing that out there since you just had your loss - could these results be pregnancy influenced? I hope you do find your answers! *hug*

Oh that's interesting Liz I never thought of that. I need more info from dr but I will bring that up and see if he thinks I should do them again. Also mon I go to another dr my reg gyno who did my last hysteroscopy July 2012 and found the polyp. My RE wants me to go back to her and see if she can do another hysterscopy just to rule anything out and if I go to her my insurance will cover the costs. So I should be doing that in Six weeks from now. Also were going to retest me on the nk cells because he said they have come quite far in the progress of those tests since I did it over a year ago so that should be in dec. he said im on the schedule for jan for my next FET if all my testing gets done. Ah and I wait some more.

@liz4paws is correct, you need to have a beta done at the same time because hCG in your blood can skew the results of some of the tests. For my first round of tests my hCG was still pretty high. I just had them done again on 9/30 and am awaiting the results, but I do know that my hCG was less than 5 for this last round, so the results should be accurate.

@Lacyj67 - the tests that came back positive for me the first time around were Lupus Anticoagulant and Protein S Deficiency. I met with a high risk OB and the plan, if I were to cycle again and get pregnant, would be to start Lovenox the day of transfer, remain on that through around 36w, then switch to Heparin. After birth I would then be on Coumadin for 6 weeks post partum. Of course, this is all assuming that the blood clotting disorders are confirmed.
