Filtered tap water, but that is only because my tap water tastes like crap.

(And is this a real question? I mean - pregnant women worry whether they drink bottled or filtered or tap water? If I worried about shit like that when I was pregnant I would have been he most neurotic pregnant woman on the planet.)

Exactly this. Water from the fridge or bottled water for me but also because tap water is gross. You will drive yourself absolutely insane if you question every single thing you do! Drink whatever water you want. Stay away from the big things like unpasteurized food.

  • I get my water from a local water shop. It is filtered by reverse osmosis and Its cheaper at a nice .25¢  per galleon then buying bottles from the supermarket.

So we have 3 five galleon bottles of it for our water cooler. Our tap water is drawn up from our local aquifer from our well. It generally smells like sulfur (rotten eggs). We have tested it for bacteria and such and its safe to drink.. but would you drink something that smelled like that?

  • Wow, first-world problems....

I drink it any way it's offered to me. At home that means straight from the tap, unfiltered.

Unless you have a private well or have received notice that your water has unacceptable levels of dangerous microorganisms and should be boiled before consumption, straight from the tap is fine.

  • Bottled water or filtered tap, but as someone above said, I would not worry too much unless you are on a well or have boil warnings where you live.  It is a fair question - there is so much conflicting data out there about everything and the more you read, the more you read conflicting advice.  Just try to keep it all in perspective or it will be a long ~40 weeks!

  • I bought a Brita water bottle that has a filter, mostly because our tap water tastes nasty and this helps. It's cheaper than buying water bottles, but better than drinking tap from a cup. I also think it's not a silly question to ask. I personally want to avoid plastic water bottles :)

  • don't drink tap water or your baby will come out with their head on backwards. srsly, it happened to my friend's, sister's, cousin's, aunt's babysitter.
