So last night after having contractions regularly I went to L&D. After 5 hours with contractions and making no progress they sent me home.

Got a phone call this morning from the doctors office to come in because my BP was high. About 2 hours before my appointment I started to have some leaking and waited until we got to the doctors. After letting the doctor know she checked to see if it was fluid and started leaking heavy when I stood up so was sent to L&D. They ran some tests and checked to see if my water broke and turns out it did. Now comes the waiting game for this little guy to show up

Doctor came in at 6:45 to see how dilated I was and because the sac was in the way she ended up breaking the rest of my water. When she did I was 5 cm and 80% effaced and -1 station. Contractions are starting to get stronger and closer together

After about 3 hours contractions I decided it was time for the epidural. The nurse came in to check and I was only 6 cm and 80% effaced. I was able to take a nap for a few hours but woke up at 2 am with really bad contractions. While I was asleep they started pitocin to get everything going. After about half an hour they realized the epidural came out and wasn't working so I had to have a new epidural during some horrible contractions. She felt so bad for what I had to go through and upped the dose of meds so I had no feeling at all. At about 4:45 I was checked again and was up to 9cm and 80% effaced. At 6:30 am I was fully dilated and had the urge to push. The epidural decided to wear off so I felt everything. I had to wait until 7 to start pushing because it was in the middle of shift change. After 30 minutes of pushing Christopher finally came into this world.
