I know we have all gone through this by now.... but I just wanted to share a small victory I had today.
I had LO via C section August 23rd, and up until I was cleared to resume normal activities as of Tuesday, my DH had to come with me to the store if we brought LO because I wasn't allowed to lift her seat. Today I decided to take a trip to Target with a friend and bring LO along. I felt a sense of freedom and felt relieved for my husband that he could stay home and have the house to himself to get his stuff done (law mowed, etc). LO was extremely fussy as we pulled into the parking lot, and after a bottle was still a bit cranky. I made it through the shopping trip without feeling overwhelmed even as LO cried during checkout. I know we have all gone through this, but this is one of the first times I have not felt nervous, unprepared, etc......
Thanks for listening ladies!
Re: Small Victory?
DH went back to work yesterday. It's nice to know I can get out of the house without him. I was getting some serious cabin fever!
My LO use to he very fussy while out...and now she is calm or just sleeps. I started using a swaddleme in her car seat. A size large with the slit in the back for the harness. It has been a lifesaver!!!!
